Ready for a sweet weekend!

Yeah so its Friday! And I know I will be enjoying my weekend!

Saturday Ill be working on a dia de los muertos (day of the dead) cake

for 2 special co-workers. To whom they are suprising someone with.

And I cant wait for Sunday! On Facebook I follow Mrs. Goodie Good (winner of season 3 cupcake wars).

Well she will be at Dessert Oasis in Irvine, Ca judging some of the sweet treats they will be having.

So on her facebook she was giving away VIP passes to 2 of her lucky fans!

And thanks to all my wonderful friends they helped me win a pair of passes!!

Thanks guys! My friends are the greatest!

I'm super excited! Feels like I'm going to my favorite little bakery supply store! Lol

Oh yesterday last minute my co-worker asked me to do some Hello Kitty cupcakes

for her niece. How could I say no?!

So here is what I did for her:

 Fondant hello kitty faces.

Which I used my hello kitty chocolate mold to make. Next to some pretty deep pink swirls!

 Thats what the dozen looked like <3

Oh and since I LOVE to Google lots of  things about cupcakes, cake, ect I came across

how to make big buttercream roses on cupcakes!

Pretty darn cute and good for my first try!

Okay off to do my mommy duties and clean house!

Caramel Apple Cupcake

So yesterday I came home to an empty quite house since my mom and the boys were at my aunt's house enjoying the first day of summer swimming all day in the pool. So I was decided to make some caramel apple cupcakes that I have been wanting to try.

Let me tell you these are DELISH!!!

Such a light cupcake.

Started off with an apple cupcake receipe I found online.

Then made some homemade whipped cream topping

and topped them off with some caramel and chocolate and a few walnuts!

Man I wanted to eat more but it was late already.

Mom and the boys enjoyed coming home to these sweet treats!

Now Im off thinking what will be the next flavor I will try to make?!?

Any suggestions??

Cupcakes, cupcakes and more cupcakes

So I had such a long sleepless weekend! On top of working a busy work week at my 9 to 5 I had a huge order to do this weekend! Made a birthday cake and cupcakes for my best friends son's birthday party! Totally cute. It was a disney's phineas and ferb themed party!!! And did 200+ jumbo cupcakes for a Fathers day car show at my church! Here are pictures:

Me ready to start selling the cupcakes to raise money for our church!

We were very blessed to have sold every single cupcake and make $693 for the church!

It was very hard work making all these by myself but I would so do it again in a heart beat!

Thank you Lord for your blessings and I hope the money I raised blesses each person its going towards!

Ball and Chain was a hit!!

I know its been a few days since I last got to update you guys!

The ball and chain cake I did for my cousin's wedding was a HIT!!! My cousin's husband loved it!!!

Stand Mixer

Okay I just had to share this with you guys!!!

My new toy is finally here!!!!

I have been wanting one of these Kitchen Aid mixers for SUCH A LONG TIME!!!

I was searching random stuff on craigslist and came across a guy selling this brand new baby for $140.00!
And thanks so my wonderful and very supportive ex- boyfriend (yes I said ex-boyfriend lol) he bought it for me!!!

Cant wait to make sweet treats with my new love.

Ball and chain wedding cake

So earlier this week I was asked by one of my aunts if I could make a suprise groom cake for my cousins wedding. I said sure I would be so happy to! She said that my cousin's soon to be husband kept making jokes about how he wanted a ball and chain cake. But they want the ball and chain to look like it is smashing through their wedding cake. Lol I thought that was so funny and would be so fun to make. So Tuesday night when I got home I started working on the little decorations for the cake. Here is my progress so far...

 The start of the chain, pad lock and key. Also made a cuff but that was getting its shape on a mug.

 Here is the chain after it was painted. It kinda blends with the foil! lol
